North Texas Places 56 on Academic Medal List

Conference USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced that 56 North Texas student-athletes have earned the Commissioner's Academic Medal for the 2020-21 academic year. The Commissioner's Academic Medal is the highest academic achievement awarded by the league.
Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better to be honored.
The 56 UNT honorees is an increase from the 53 that earned the award last year. In all, 1,076 Conference USA student-athletes were on the list, which is an increase of 269 from last year.
The Mean Green women's track & field and cross country teams had the most honorees with 12. The swimming & diving team had nine student-athletes honored, giving it the second-most for any North Texas team.
This is the second academic award list published by Conference USA for the 2020-21 year, with the Commissioner's Honor Role being announced earlier this week.
