Mean Green Honored by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced All-Academic Teams and Athletes for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track & Field season with a list that features both North Texas men's and women's squads along with seven Mean Green individuals.
Bailey Ashmore, Karlington Anunagba, Jack Beaumont, Clayton Boyce, Antonio Delacruz, Zion Hill and Jared Johnson were each recognized for their efforts in the classroom.
To be named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, one must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have finished the indoor season ranked in the top 96 in a championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event and/or have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
To be honored as an All-Academic Team, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher.
The Mean Green women carried a team GPA of 3.3 and the men posted a 3.1.
