WBB Nonconference Schedule Set

DENTON – North Texas women's basketball head coach Jalie Mitchell has finalized the nonconference schedule for the 2021-22 season which features seven home contests as well as a Thanksgiving tournament at Cal Poly.
"We have been hard at work this summer preparing for a very competitive non-conference slate this upcoming season," Mitchell said. "It's always important to challenge ourselves as we play the best of the best in Conference USA.
"We have two metroplex schools coming to Denton in UTA and SMU, as well as two top 25 teams on the road in Missouri State and Oklahoma State. Our fans will have seven opportunities to catch us at home in the Super Pit. We look forward to seeing everyone back and making it a year to remember."
The Mean Green will face crosstown opponent Texas Woman's in an exhibition Nov. 3 at The Super Pit before beginning the regular season Nov. 9 against USAO in Denton.
UNT hosts Howard Nov. 11, competes in their first road contest Nov. 14 at Missouri State and then returns to Denton for a Nov. 20 contest against UTA.
North Texas travels to the Thanksgiving Classic in San Luis Obispo Nov. 26-27 to face Montana State and St. Thomas.
A three-game homestand starts off Dec. 3 with SMU, followed by Southern Dec. 13 and Wichita State Dec. 17.
The final nonconference contest will take place at Oklahoma State Dec. 21.
