DENTON – Mean Green Tennis swept Lamar for their fourth win of the season to remain undefeated. After gaining the doubles point, UNT went into singles where freshman Jasmine Adams clinched the game.

DOUBLES
- Struggling in the first set Saki Oyama and Sophia Hummel quickly bounced back winning their match 6-3.
- Also, behind in the first set Maria Ponomareva and Kexuan Zhou battled through some tied scores but ultimately came back clinched the doubles point.
- Falling behind early on Jasmine Adams and Lucie Devier fought back until the end winning dramatically, a 7-2 tiebreaker to close out doubles.
SINGLES
- In the one position, Devier won her first set but fell short in the second bringing the game into a tiebreaker. Devier had the early advantage, but Lamar's Elena Tairyan fought back with Devier ultimately getting the point.
- Zhou breezed through her first set sweeping Lamar's Noelia Lorca and continued strong through her second set winning 6-0, and 6-3.
- Adams took her first set after fighting through a nearly tied game and got the point in a strong second set.
- Ponomareva won her first set easily but was injured in the second set, after a brief delay in gameplay, she came out with a win 6-1.
- Hummel got off-track in her first set falling 2-6 but came back in the second set leading to a tiebreaker win of 10-2.
- Oyama continues to be a consistent player having finished both her doubles and singles matches first with strong wins.
QUOTABLE
- " The beginning of this Spring season has been already magical for this team where we have seen so many of the things we worked on come together to have now a 4-0 record," tennis health program coordinator Rodrigo De Almeida said. "However, we all know how much work is ahead of us and it is so exciting thing about how much better we will still get. Our next challenge is Memphis and this week will be very important to set us up for success. I am so proud of this team in every aspect of it. GMG"
