Women's Golf Continues Play in Mexico

CABO SAN LUCAS, BCS, Mexico - Graduate Audrey Tan fired a 1-under 70 to lead the way for the Mean Green in Round 2Â of the Battle at the Beach, and North Texas enters Sunday's final round in 10th place in a field loaded with 10 top-50 teams.
The Mean Green shot a 10-over 294 on Day 2 behind Tan's 70 and a 1-over 72 from senior Emilie Ricaud, and the team is five shots back of No. 14 Arkansas and No. 35 Clemson, who are tied for eighth at 10-over. The Mean Green are 10 shots up on No. 50 Kansas, as UNT looks to score some wins over ranked opponents with a big final day.
Tan is tied for sixth at 3-under, thanks to three birdies Saturday.
The Mean Green will be paired on Saturday with Wisconsin, Arkansas and Eastern Tennessee State, with a shotgun start set for 7 a.m.
