DENTON, Texas – Four North Texas Track & Field student-athletes recorded top-three finishes Saturday at the Baylor Invitational to lead the way at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium in Waco, Texas.

Victor Neiva recorded his second victory of the season in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking a time of 9:21.55 to take home the gold.

In the men's javelin, Vitus Hansgaard finished as the runner-up with a throw of 189-06 (57.78m).

Chris Samaniego took third in the men's hammer throw, registering a mark of 175-11 (53.62m). The senior from Monahans, Texas, also placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 52-04.75 (15.97m).

Jack Beaumont recorded a personal-best time of 3:56.11 in the men's 1,500 meters to place third and pace a pack of three-consecutive Mean Green runners. Mason Garner was fourth with a time of 3:56.34, followed by Logan Mitchell in fifth (4:00.27).

Other highlights for UNT included Skyler Guillot (fourth in the women's javelin - 139-06, 42.54m), Jake Parchman (fourth in the men's discus - 160-01, 48.79m), Kennedy Adams (fourth in the women's triple jump - 40-03.25, 12.27m), Luke Canon (fourth in the men's 800 meters - 1:53.82), the women's 4x100-meter relay (fourth - 46.05) and Dionna James (fifth in the women's shot put - 43-02.25, 13.16m).

Next up for the Mean Green is next weekend's North Texas Classic, which is part of the Spring Showcase on Saturday, April 9.
