Track & Field Splits to Trio of Texas Meets

DENTON, Texas – North Texas Track & Field will compete in three different meets Thursday through Saturday, including the UTA Under Armour Invitational, the ACU Oliver Jackson Twilight, and the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout.

The Mean Green men's team comes into the weekend ranked fifth in Conference USA in the USTFCCCA Conference TFRI: Track & Field Rating Index, while the women's team is ranked 10th. With less than a month remaining until the NCAA West Preliminary Championships, the men's team has six individuals and the women's team has one ranked in the top-48 of the qualifying list, which would advance to Fayetteville.

The UTA Under Armour Invitational will take place Thursday, as the Mean Green take on host UTA, Incarnate Word, Tarleton State, Fort Scott JC, Little Rock, Oklahoma Baptist, East Central, Jacksonville College, Hill College and UNT-Dallas. Live results from Arlington will be provided by NTX Timing.

At the ACU Oliver Jackson Twilight on Thursday, UNT will compete against host ACU, SFA, Western Texas College, Angelo State, Lubbock Christian, Hardin Simmons, University of the Southwest and McMurry. Live results from Abilene will be provided by Athletic Live.

The two-day Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout will be Friday and Saturday, with North Texas facing off with host Texas Tech, ACU, Lubbock Christian, Eastern New Mexico, South Plains, New Mexico JC, West Texas A&M, Western Texas College, Kansas State, Wayland Baptist, and Science & Arts. Live results from Lubbock will be provided by Prime Time Timing.

These three meets are the final tune-ups before the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, which will take place May 12-15 at the Park West Athletics Complex in San Antonio.
