Mean Green and LA Tech set for future series

Rivalry to continue in 2023 and 2028
DENTON, Texas – North Texas and Louisiana Tech are set for a two-game non-conference football series in 2023 and 2028, the two programs announced Tuesday.

UNT will travel to Ruston on Sept. 16, 2023, before hosting a return trip in Denton on Sept. 9, 2028.

The Mean Green trail the all-time series 7-13, a rivalry that dates to 1976. The two programs met each year both were members of Conference USA beginning in 2013 and will square off for the final time as league opponents October 15 at Apogee Stadium.

UNT opens the 2022 season August 27 in El Paso against UTEP. Kickoff is set for 8 pm CT on Stadium.
