
Women’s Basketball Looking for Third Straight Home Win Saturday vs. UAB

UNT trying to win ninth C-USA home game in the last 10 tries
DENTON, Texas (Jan. 19, 2023) – Coming off back-to-back wins in Denton, North Texas looks to push that streak to three when they return to the Super Pit Saturday afternoon to take on the Blazers of UAB.
It will be the 16th all-time meeting between UNT and UAB in a series that dates back to the 2000-01 season. The Mean Green hold a 10-5 all-time advantage in the series and have won each of the last four matchups between the two schools.
UAB comes into the matchup with a 9-8 overall record and are currently 1-7 in C-USA play. The Blazers started the season 7-1 but have gone just 2-7 since then and currently sit at the bottom of the conference standings. The lone league win for UAB came in early January at home against FAU.
