UNT Athletics Launches Glory to the Green Program

DENTON – UNT Athletics has partnered with Affinity Licensing to launch a new Glory to the Green Program highlighting North Texas' rich traditions and history.
A special group of past logos are now exclusively available for licensed vendors to create merchandise and products to celebrate those cherished stories.
The collection derives its name from the school's alma mater, composed in 1922, titled Glory to the Green and White. That same year, the student body selected the eagle as its mascot for its keen eye, strength, independence, and loyalty – to represent similar qualities found in their teams and school.
Whether it's the overlapped NT from the 60s, the popular stylized rendition of an eagle affectionately known as the "flying worm" introduced in 1973, or the proud strutting eagle, these tradition-rich marks exemplify the spirit of the 'Mean Green' and connect generations of North Texas faithful.
