UNT looking for first win in Charlotte in program history
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 10, 2023) – After snapping a three-game win streak Thursday against UAB, UNT looks to bounce back Saturday as they take on Charlotte for the first time this season in a battle for positioning in the C-USA standings.
It will be the 15th all-time meeting between the two programs in a series that dates back to the 2013-14 season when the 49ers joined C-USA. Charlotte has won each of the last four matchups, including a 66-63 win over the Mean Green in the C-USA Tournament in 2022. Charlotte is the lone C-USA team UNT has not faced yet this season.
Charlotte comes into the matchup having won three of their last five matchups but are coming off a 70-64 loss Wednesday night against UTEP. The 49ers are 7-4 at home this season and own a perfect 6-0 record against UNT inside Halton Arena all-time.
