
Dove Set for Indoor Nationals; Mean Green Open Outdoors at UTA

Dove will compete in the women’s shot put Saturday at 5 p.m. CT.
DENTON, Texas – KeAyla Dove will compete for the national championship in the women's shot put Saturday at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., and the Mean Green will also open the outdoor season Friday at the UTA Invitational in Arlington, Texas.
Dove is making her second-consecutive appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships after placing fifth in the women's shot put last season with Sam Houston State. The sophomore from Houston, Texas, will be competing against 15 of the nation's best Saturday at 5 p.m. CT at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Dove has rewritten the school record book in her first season for the Mean Green, most recently raising the UNT women's shot put record to 58-3.75 (17.77m) en route to finishing as the Conference USA runner-up. She enters the NCAA meet ranked No. 10 in the country.
