Volleyball Sweeps UNLV on Saturday

BOULDER, Colo. – Head coach Kristee Porter led UNT volleyball to a 3-0 sweep of UNLV on Saturday at the CU Events Center.
The Mean Green (2-0) completed its sweep (25-20, 29-27, 25-22) of the Rebels (1-1) to avenge last season's three-set loss against UNLV at the North Texas Invitational on August 26, 2022.
Treyaunna Rush posted a .588 hitting percentage with 12 kills on 17 attacks for the second-highest attack rate of her career. She also added two digs and one block.
Coco Gillett tallied a team-high 13.0 points with 11 kills, five digs, one ace and one solo block. She collected six of her 11 kills in the third set, four of which helped the Mean Green to a 7-4 run late in the frame.
Sh'Diamond Holly accumulated her UNT career high with three service aces while she added six kills on eight attacks. She also posted two digs and a block.
Ceci Harness (19) and Kamryn Scroggins (17) contributed 36 of the team's 40 assists. Scroggins added nine digs while Harness tallied four digs and an ace.
Aleeyah Galdeira supplied a match-best mark of 10 digs with four assists and one service ace.

UNT faces host Colorado on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT to close out the Buffs Invitational at the CU Events Center. The match will be streamed on Pac-12 Plus.
