Women's Golf In Fourth Heading To Final Round

CORINTH, Texas - The UNT women's golf team sits in fourth place after 36 holes of play on Monday at the season-opening Sam Golden Invitational, which the Mean Green are hosting at Oakmont Country Club.
UNT shot a 278-281 and sits at 17-under par heading into Tuesday's final round - two shots back of third and three shots back of second place. The Mean Green are 11 shots back of leader Houston.
UNT was led by senior Shreya Pal, who is in a tie for eighth place at 6-under par after a 68-70 on Monday, while senior Ellie Roth is one shot back of Pal in a tie for 14th at 5-under par. Senior Emilie Ricaud is one shot back of Roth at 4-under in a tie for 20th with the help of a second-round eagle on the par-5 15th hole. Freshman Bouquet Subsomboon is also under par at 2-under in her collegiate debut and is tied for 28th. Fellow freshman Katharina Anglett, who is also making her collegiate debut, is tied for 8th with Pal at 6-under but is competing as an individual.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the third and final round set for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and UNT will be paired with Houston, Nebraska and UTSA and will start on Holes 1-5. Fans are encouraged to come out to Oakmont Country Club and support the Mean Green.
