Men’s 8K starts at 8:45 a.m CT.
DENTON, Texas – UNT cross country will send four men's student-athletes to the OSU Cowboy Jamboree Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.Â
Â
The Mean Green will be represented by Landin Wolfe, Aiden Kirkpatrick, Adrian Gray and Buddy Burke at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.
Â
"We're trying to get some freshmen some experience," UNT cross country coach Erik Stevens said. "They haven't gotten a chance to race 8K yet, so this is their first 8K. We're not really putting any major expectations on them. I just want them to be able to execute an 8,000-meter race plan that I've put together for them and feel the training coming through."
Â
The men's 8K is set to begin at 8:45 a.m. CT. Live results from Stillwater will be provided by Red Dirt Race Management.
Â
"I really want them to feel comfortable with what we're trying to do over the distance with some of the paces we're going to be working through," Stevens said. "It's really a 'let's get out there, strap the shoes on and see how you feel coming through it'."
