
Cameron Wilson Elevated to Senior Associate AD

DENTON, Texas – Cameron Wilson has been elevated to Senior Associate AD for Facilities and Event Management, UNT Vice President and Director of Athletics Jared Mosley announced.
"I am excited to elevate Cameron Wilson into this position for Mean Green Athletics and know he will do a great job in service to our coaches, staff, and student-athletes," Mosley said. "We have many exciting facility projects and updates ahead and I know Cameron will provide great leadership in this area as we progress forward."
Wilson has held the title of Assistant AD for Facilities and Events at UNT since January 2023. In that role, he served as game administrator for football, men's basketball, and track & field. He had direct of oversight of two staff members as well as worked day-to-day with various contract partners, campus partners, and other internal and external constituent groups for Mean Green Athletics.
"I am truly honored and excited to serve UNT along with its student-athletes, coaches and staff in this new role," Wilson said. "I am extremely grateful to Jared Mosley and Dr. Connor Smith for the opportunity to be a part of the Mean Green leadership team. I also want to thank Nick Nagel for his mentorship and leading me to an incredible opportunity at the University of North Texas. I am excited about advancing our mission of Building Champions and Preparing Leaders, and eager to build upon the continued achievements of UNT Athletics."
Prior to joining the UNT staff, Wilson spent five years at South Dakota from 2017-22 and was promoted to Assistant AD for Events and Facilities at South Dakota in 2021. He was the primary game administrator for 18 NCAA Division-I sports plus outside events as well as leading a staff of nine full-time employees. He was also responsible for the hiring and supervision of all game day staff.
During his time at USD, Wilson assisted in the planning and coordination of a $26 million dollar renovation project of the DakotaDome. He also served as championship manager for multiple Summit League championship events along with working with campus for multiple university and community events.
Wilson also spent 2016-17 at Marshall University as assistant director of facilities and events and was a facilities and operations intern at Creighton from 2015-16.
A native of Beatrice, Nebraska, he graduated from Wayne State College in 2012. Wilson also earned a master's degree from Nebraska in 2016.
