DENTON — The North Texas men's basketball home game at the Super Pit versus SMU on Jan. 25 will be a green out game, presented by American National Bank & Trust. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

The UNT men's basketball team will wear its green uniforms and all Mean Green fans attending are encouraged to show their pride and also wear green as North Texas welcomes its Metroplex rival to the Super Pit for the first time since Dec. 4, 2001.

The first 500 fans to the game will receive a green UNT shirt.

North Texas is also encouraging all Mean Green students to attend the game as it will be the first home game since the start of the 2024 spring semester. The UNT Maniacs are aiming to break the Super Pit student attendance record of 1,633. One UNT student will go home with a 40-inch screen tv.

In addition to the green out, the Denton Chamber will be hosting a pre-game mixer on the concourse. Doors to the mixer open at 4 p.m. CT.
