Dove Named AAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

DENTON, Texas – Senior KeAyla Dove was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row, the conference announced Tuesday.
After earning the honor last week for breaking the program and conference's indoor shot put record with a mark of 17.83 meters, Dove improved her record Saturday at the Robert Platt Invitational with a throw of 17.85 meters. She claimed her third victory of the season in as many meets and is ranked No. 4 in the nation for shot put.
This is the fourth career weekly honor for Dove and her second of the season. She's the only winner of a weekly honor for the Mean Green so far this season.
Next up for the Mean Green is the Washburn Open in Topeka, Kansas to open the month of February.
