
Volleyball Drops Three-Set Loss at Rice

HOUSTON – UNT volleyball fell 3-0 in an American Athletic Conference clash against Rice on Friday at Tudor Fieldhouse.
The Mean Green (6-10, 3-2) were held to a .135 hitting percentage, its lowest mark in conference play this season, versus the Owls (10-4, 5-0) with 19 attack errors and 10 service errors.
Senior Coco Gillett led UNT with 10 kills, her eighth double-digit kill total of the season, with a .292 hitting percentage on 24 attacks. After Friday's match, she sits at 956 career kills in her collegiate career, 44 shy of No. 1,000.
Middle blocker Priscilla Jones tallied a match-best four blocks, including two solo stops, to mark her 10th-consecutive match with at least one block.
