
Soccer Finalizes Early Signing Class

The Mean Green signed eight newcomers, six of which will be incoming freshmen.
Alina Arneth | Goalkeeper | Motlow State College
One of the two non-incoming freshmen UNT has signed, goalkeeper Alina Arneth joins the Mean Green after an illustrious junior college career at Motlow State College in Tennessee. The 6-foot German native played two seasons for the Bucks making 40 starts and posting a career record of 27-6-6 with a goals against average of just 0.82. Arneth led Motlow to two straight Region 7 titles and this past year a program record No. 15 NJCAA ranking. She was voted first team all-conference this year and earned multiple conference player of the week honors over her two seasons at Motlow.
Anna Bewley | Forward | Nelson University
One of the two non-coming freshmen UNT has signed, forward Anna Bewley comes to North Texas after two seasons at Nelson University where she scored 48 career goals and 16 career assists in just 39 total matches for the NAIA program in Waxahachie. Bewley, a Princeton native, had seven hat tricks in her career including a five-goal performance as a freshman.
Payton Ridenour Annis | Wylie HS
Payton Ridenour Annis is the daughter of 2003 Mean Green soccer alum Caree Ridenour who was an all-league defender for head coach John Hedlund and helped lead UNT to its first conference championship in 2001. Payton becomes the second legacy player in the program's history and will be teammates with Addi Christian who this past year became the first legacy player.
Rowan Faircloth | Sulphur Springs HS
Faircloth signs with the Mean Green coming off a terrific junior season at Sulphur Springs High School and for DKSC. Faircloth was named TASCO All State Honorable Mention and THSCA 4A Girls Soccer Super Elite Team after last season.
Lillian Vandiver | Visa Ridge HS
Central Texas native Vandiver signs with the Mean Green after a star-studded junior season at Vista Ridge High School where she was named the district's Offensive Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All-Central Texas, First Team All-District, Vista Ridge's Team MVP and Academic All-District. She plays club for String Austin.
Marin Wright | Winter Park HS
The first player in program history to come from the state of Florida, Marin Wright is wrapping up a fantastic career at Winter Park High School near Orlando and club career for Orlando City. Wright was an All-Metro East First Team selection last year and for her club side this past year led Orlando City to the ECNL North American Cup Championship.
Ava Itz | Belton HS
Belton High School team captain Ava Itz is joining the Mean Green as one of the top players in central Texas along with fellow incoming freshman Vandiver. Itz was a first team all-district honoree for the Lady Tigers last season and her team's offensive MVP. She plays club soccer for Sting Austin.
Kylie Kissee | Cole HS
The San Antonio native goalkeeper Kylie Kissee joins the Mean Green as a three-sport athlete. She's earned first team all-district honors, has been named San Antonio Express-News Player of the Week and led all her her teams to postseason berths. In her prep career she's also played on the field and scored goals. She plays club soccer for San Antonio City
