Hill Named AAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

He set a school record and took second place at the Texas A&M Invitational
DENTON, Texas – UNT javelin thrower Zion Hill was named the American Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week after breaking a school record at the Texas A&M Invitational Saturday.
Hill topped his own school record of 74.09 meters with a new mark of 74.95 meters in his season debut. He captured second place at the meet and is currently ranked first in the AAC and seventh in the nation.
It's the third weekly conference honor in Hill's career and first since May 5, 2021. It also marks the third conference honor for the Mean Green as a team after KeAyla Dove was recognized twice during the indoor season.
