North Texas Blonde Ale is Official Craft Beer of UNT Athletics

DENTON, Texas – Revolver Brewing Company's North Texas Blonde Ale has been announced as the Official Craft Beer of UNT Athletics.

"Joining together with Revolver Brewing to release North Texas Blonde was an easy decision, and we are excited for this blonde ale to be available for Mean Green fans and craft beer lovers across DFW," UNT Vice President and Director of Athletics Jared Mosley said. "Utilizing the fan-favorite Strutting Eagle logo along with Revolvers outstanding reputation for craft beer is sure to make this beer a favorite."

The refreshing blonde ale whose can design features the iconic Strutting Eagle design will be available this August in retailers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area in partnership with MolsonCoors and Fisher59. The beer, currently available in Denton bars and restaurants, was developed with a full flavor and light body while carrying a 4.8% ABV.

North Texas Blonde, made with made with Pilsner malt and Mandarina and Centennial hops, will also be available inside DATCU Stadium and the Super Pit beginning in September.

Revolver Brewing was founded in Granbury, Texas. Revolver's flagship Blood & Honey, a wheat ale with blood orange peel and honey, is one of the most popular craft beers in Texas.

UNT Athletics and Revolver will host multiple events to celebrate the release of North Texas Blonde ale beginning with a Texas Rangers UNT Night Pre-Party in the Revolver Beer Garden at Texas Live! on August 6 at 5 pm.

 Join us and try an ice-cold pint of North Texas Blonde. Beginning at 5 pm, Revolver Brewing will be sampling the new official craft beer of the UNT with special North Texas Blonde prizes being given away. Be sure to wear your Mean Green and tour the brewhouse on the grounds with one of Revolver's innovation brewers.

Other events will also be held in Denton at East Side Denton on August 7 at 6 pm and Lucky Lou's on August 13 at 8 pm.
The collaboration between UNT and the Revolver Brewing was created through athletic multimedia rights holder Mean Green Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the leading media and technology powering college athletics, and the Mean Green Blonde Ale is licensed through licensing agency Affinity.
