Morris, Football Add 28 Transfers to 2025 Roster

Mean Green add wealth of experienced players
DENTON, Texas – Head coach Eric Morris announced the addition of 28 new student-athletes to the UNT football team Thursday.
All 28 players join the Mean Green via the transfer portal and will be a part of the roster for the Spring 2025 semester.
"We're excited to have added a lot of talented, experienced players to our roster during this transfer portal window," Morris said. "We put an emphasis on bringing in players who have played a lot of college football, and we can't wait to watch them compete this spring and into the 2025 season."
The new players join the roster with a wealth of experience as 24 players come to UNT having played 10+ games, 19 have played 20+ games, 12 have seen action in 30+ games and five have played in 40+ contests collegiately in their careers.
Of the 28 new additions to the roster, 21 join the Mean Green from FBS schools, three from FCS programs and two each from Division II and junior college institutions.
In addition, eight of the new players have played for Big 12 programs, two have experience in the Big Ten, two join with playing time in the ACC and one joins with SEC experience.
The group also features a large contingent of players from the Lone Star State with 22 players who played Texas high school football.
