UNT Coach’s Show Set to Begin September 3 at Noon Hosted by Rudy’s BBQ

Thursday show set for new time, 12:00 PM, with first-year head coach Neal Brown
DENTON, Texas – The Mean Green Coach's Show makes its return on Thursday, September 3 at a new time, 12:00 PM, featuring first-year head football coach Neal Brown.
The show can be heard on the Varsity Network App as Dave Barnett and Hank Dickenson visit with UNT coaches, staff and student-athletes throughout the fall.
Rudy's BBQ is located at 520 S. I-35E. Frontage Rd, Denton, TX 76205. The show will air live every Thursday at lunchtime throughout the fall, except for Oct. 15 before UNT's open date. The show will move to Wednesdays on Oct. 1 and Oct. 28 prior to the Thursday night games against Tulsa and Florida Atlantic.
UNT's season opener is set for Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. CT against the defending national champion No. 6 Indiana on the road. The first home contest for the Mean Green will be Sept. 12 at 2:45 PM against UNLV. UNT will also host home games against Houston Christian (Sept. 26), Charlotte (Oct. 10), Florida Atlantic (Oct. 29), Rice (Nov. 7) and UAB (Nov. 28) at DATCU Stadium this fall.
Season tickets for the 2026 season remain on sale. Season ticket holders receive additional benefits including guaranteed seat locations when hosting The American Championship Game along with VIP presale opportunities for away games, bowl games and other events hosted at the stadium. Patrons are encouraged to visit MeanGreenTickets.com for more information on any of the above options and to purchase tickets.
