DENTON - The UNT cross country team will continue its season on Friday, as the Mean Green head to College Station to take on a strong field at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M.
The event features a field of 38 teams, and will consist of a men's 8K race at 8:30 a.m., followed by a women's 6K race at 9:15.
UNT will field a lineup for each race, with Joseph Wienen, Nolan House, Connor Bartek, Alan Proenza, Matthew Montgomery, Hunter Hendry, Aidan Shannon, Ethan Rodriguez, Luke Anderson, Landin Wolfe and Jason Wade competing for the men's team, and Aditi Silwal, Ella Bengtsson, London Culbreath, Aubrey Milam and Baylee Tapley competing for the women, in their final tuneup before the American Championship on Nov. 1, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
"I'm really excited about this week in College Station," head coach Erik Stevens said. "This event is always well run and well attended with a great atmosphere. We are in a good place within the training block to get after the race with both men's and women's teams. We always get amped up for this one and bring a good energy. I'm looking forward to what we put out there on race morning."
Live results from the event can be found here.
