
Tennis Set to Return Home Friday for Doubleheader

North Texas faces Collin College and Oral Roberts in its first home matches since January
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team returns home Friday taking on Collin College and Oral Roberts at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
The doubleheader will be the first time North Texas (4-3) plays at home in nearly a month, with its last home match coming Jan. 17 in a win over UT Tyler.
In their five-match road trip, the Mean Green collected two wins and three losses, closing out the trip with a 6-1 win at Northwestern State on Feb. 9.
Lou Chalard and Stanislava Shulzhenko lead UNT in singles play with a 6-1 and 5-1 record, respectively. Chalard has predominantly played at line four with Shulzhenko playing mostly at line three.
The pair of Chalard and Marina Adati lead the Mean Green in doubles play with a 4-3 record. All seven matches have been at line three.
The Cougars (0-5) enter the weekend seeking their first win as the junior college continues through its non-conference schedule.
ORU (2-6) is coming off a win over Oklahoma Wesleyan and will look to keep the momentum going Friday.
