UNT set to play seven home games for first time in program history
DENTON, Texas – UNT football will play seven home games for the first time in program history in 2025, starting the season August 30 at DATCU Stadium against Lamar in the third season of the Eric Morris era.
UNT will kick off play in The American September 20 in West Point, N.Y., against reigning conference champion Army and will host USF in a Friday night contest October 10 for the AAC home opener.
The Mean Green will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the first road contest of the year against Western Michigan on September 6. It will be the lone non-conference game away from DATCU Stadium for UNT in 2025.
Non-conference play continues September 13 against Washington State and wraps up September 27 with a matchup against South Alabama at home.
In addition to the home matchup against USF, the Mean Green will also host UTSA (Oct. 18), Navy (Nov. 1) and Temple (Nov. 28 OR 29) for home conference games.
Away conference contests include the game at Army as well as another Friday night game at Charlotte (Oct. 24) and back-to-back road clashes against UAB (Nov. 15) and Rice (Nov. 22).
UNT is also a part of a flexible Week 14 schedule to close the regular season. The Army-UTSA and Temple-North Texas games will be played either Friday, Nov. 28, or Saturday, Nov. 29. Those selections will be made by Oct. 13.
The Mean Green will have a pair of bye weeks in 2025 on the weekends of October 4 and November 8.
Each of the 14 teams in The American will play eight conference games in 2025. The top two teams in the final single-division regular-season standings will meet in the American Athletic Conference Football Championship, which will be played either Friday, Dec. 5, or Saturday, Dec. 6.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes. All dates announced today are subject to change.
Season tickets for UNT Football in 2025 are available now. Returning season ticket patrons can renew their 2024 season ticket locations for all seven home games. If you would like to renew your 2025 season tickets, you can do so today by logging into your UNT ticket account here.
New season tickets are also available to the general public for as little as $80 by clicking here.
Multiple payment plan options are available for new season-ticket purchases and renewals. Various parking options and chair backs are also available as additions.
Season ticket prices for 2025 for the reserved endzone, family zone and general admission sections remain the same price as 2024 season. Pricing was maintained in these areas to provide a fan friendly pricing option.
For select premium sections, season ticket prices have been adjusted modestly to reflect the additional home game and rising operational costs, keeping UNT football among the most affordable tickets in the state of Texas.
Season ticket renewal invoices are based on ticket holders' seat locations from the 2024 season. Individuals who participated in the "Price Lock" for the 2024 season must renew by April 25th, 2025, to keep the price locked prices for the 2025 season.
Don't forget that as a season ticket holders receive additional benefits including guaranteed seat locations when hosting The American Championship Game along with VIP presale opportunities for away games, bowl games and other events hosted at the stadium.
Season ticket members also receive discounts on additional single-game tickets purchased, opportunity to resell unused tickets via SeatGeek and utilize the Kick Time Guarantee program. Purchasers who renew by the season ticket deadline will also receive an exclusive season ticket holder gift.
