Women's Golf Opens Play at UT Event

AUSTIN - The UNT women's golf team began play on Monday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational at the UT Golf Club in one final tuneup before the American Athletic Conference Championship next month.
The Mean Green enter the final round on Tuesday in 11th place after facing windy conditions on Monday and shooting a 322-319 in the first two rounds.Â
UNT was led on the day by senior Malisone Chanthapanya, who is in 32nd place at 12-over par, while junior Mason Lewis is in 50th at 16-over after leading the team in the second of two rounds on Monday with a 5-over 77.
