Â

Â
RESULTS: Live scoring and final results will be posted on Scoreboard. A full recap will be posted on MeanGreenSports.com at the end of each day.
 Â
AKERS SAYS:Â "We are excited for another opportunity to play against great teams on a very good golf course," said head coach Michael Akers. "The practice round will be important as most of our team has not played this course. There is strategy in order to take advantage of the birdie holes and play smart on the difficult holes. The ladies seem to be improving every week and they show exceptional team chemistry. (Assistant coach) Lauren (Cox) and I keep driving home how good this team is the history of the accomplishments in recent years. We play the best and expect to beat the best."
MOVING UP: UNT has made significant strides since Akers took over eight years ago. The Mean Green were ranked No. 201 following the 2015-16 season, and since Akers arrived in Denton, UNT has soared more than 150 spots from that time. The Mean Green are now consistently ranked in the top 50 nationally and have qualified for four straight NCAA Regionals - the only active AAC team with at least four consecutive NCAA berths.
UP NEXT:Â The Mean Green will aim for the first American Athletic Conference championship at the conference tournament in Brooksville, Florida, on April 14-16.
Â
NEW FACILITY: The Mean Green golf programs are thrilled to have the new Bruzzy's UNT Golf Practice Facility, which is a $3 million on-campus facility that features state-of-the-art technology, such as TrackMan, swing catalysts, indoor hitting bays, a short-game area and a PuttView indoor putting green.
