DENTON, Texas — UNT women's basketball will host UT Arlington in the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament Monday at 6 p.m. CT inside The Super Pit.
The Mean Green are making their second straight appearance in a national postseason tournament after competing in the WBIT in 2024. North Texas received a first-round bye in this season's WNIT and will make its fourth appearance in the tournament in program history.
The last time UNT played in the WNIT was also the last time the program hosted a postseason game at The Super Pit in a 75-62 loss to Tulsa to conclude the 2022 season.
North Texas enters Monday's game with a 24-8 record, marking the most wins in a season in program history. In addition, the Mean Green are 15-1 at The Super Pit this season and have not lost at home since the calendar turned to 2025.
Meanwhile, UTA will arrive in Denton holding an 18-13 record on the year. The Lady Mavs nearly advanced to the NCAA Tournament, falling to Grand Canyon, 65-62, in the championships game of the WAC Tournament. They knocked off Incarnate Word, 78-52, on Thursday in the first round of the WNIT.
Monday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Varsity Network app with Zac Babb on the call.
