Tennis Returns Home for Match with UTA

North Texas comes home for the first time in March to face UT Arlington Wednesday.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team returns home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. to face UT Arlington in a match which was rescheduled twice due to weather.
North Texas (5-6) enters the contest having lost its last three matches. The Mean Green were narrowly defeated by No. 68 UTSA 4-3 on March 1.
UTA (4-4) also comes into the match after losing to a ranked team as the Mavericks lost to No. 53 TCU 4-0 on Feb. 26.
UNT will be seeking its first win over UTA since April 3, 2019, when the Mean Green defeated the Mavericks 4-2 in Arlington.
North Texas lost last season's matchup with UTA 1-4 on March 6, 2024.
Stanislava Shulzhenko continues to lead the Mean Green, holding a 6-2 record in singles play, a majority of which have come at line three.
UNT took the doubles point for the first time since Feb. 14 versus Oral Roberts in its match with UTSA, with the pairs of Olivia Malm and Gianna Pielet and Lou Chalard and Lilly Schultz taking victories at lines one and two, respectively.
