Parchman Tabbed AAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

IRVING, Texas — UNT senior Jake Parchman has been named the American Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
The Odessa, Texas, native wonthe men's hammer throw competition at the Bill Schmidt Invite on Saturday, posting a mark of 64.44 meters.
The winning throw is the second best of Parchman's career, and the second-best throw in school history. It only falls behind his record throw of 67.16 meters at the Raleigh Relays earlier in the outdoor season.
This marks the first weekly conference honor for Parchman in his career. It is the second of the year for the Mean Green after Jaylen Washington was named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week during the indoor season.
