David Fisher Lands on DCTF Preseason Second-Team All-Texas List

DENTON, Texas – Senior cornerback David Fisher was named to the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Preseason Second-Team All-Texas list ahead of the 2025 season, the publication announced Monday.
The Sam Houston transfer posted career highs in nearly every defensive statistic in the 2024 season, racking up 37 stops, 1.5 TFL, six PBU's with two interceptions. He was named to the All-CUSA Third Team by CFN and the Fourth Team by Athlon Sports.
Fisher started 28 games in 33 appearances over his last three years with the Bearkats. He has racked up 82 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups and four interceptions during his career.
A Houston, Texas, native, Fisher will provide a veteran presence in the secondary for a revamped UNT defense led by former Sam Houston defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity.
