
Football Will Open 2026 Season at Indiana

DENTON - The UNT football program will now open the 2026 season on the road against a Big Ten opponent, as the Mean Green are set to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington, Indiana, in the opener on Sept. 5, 2026, it was announced on Wednesday by Director of Athletics Jared Mosley.Â
The Hoosiers have started this season 4-0 and are currently ranked No. 11 in the AP top 25.
The previously scheduled 2026 season opener at Wyoming will now be moved to Sept. 9, 2034, which will be the Mean Green's Week 2 game.
