SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The UNT volleyball team fell in three sets (19-25, 10-25, 21-25) to UTSA Wednesday evening at the Convocation Center.
With the loss, North Texas moved to 9-9 overall and 2-5 in American Conference play.
After dropping the first two sets, the Mean Green battled to a 21-20 lead in the third before the Roadrunners scored five unanswered points to secure the sweep. North Texas struggled to find its rhythm offensively, finishing at a season-low -.010 hitting percentage alongside 28 attack errors. Meanwhile, UTSA hit .258 and recorded 13 blocks at the net to limit the Mean Green attack.
Lillian Croshaw paced North Texas with seven kills, marking her seventh time this season leading the team in the category. Setter Sidney Soria contributed 15 assists, seven digs and her first solo block of the year, while Dakota Mitchell made her third straight start at libero and led the team with 10 digs.
North Texas returns home to host Tulsa on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at the UNT Volleyball Center. That match will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
