Mean Green basketball to offer additional premium seating for 2026-27 season
DENTON, Texas – As a part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing the Mean Green basketball gameday experience, UNT athletics will be making updates to the courtside seating layout inside the Super Pit for the 2026 season.
The additions include the addition of new premium seats, the removal of the courtside tables and adjustments designed to create a more dynamic atmosphere for fans.
In addition to being right next to the action on the court, courtside guests can enjoy food and beverages are provided in a comfortable, upscale setting, along with dedicated wait service throughout the game to ensure a seamless and first-class experience.
To accommodate these changes, a complete reseating of all courtside seats will take place during the summer of 2026. The reseat process will be conducted based on Mean Green Priority Point rank, allowing donors to select seats in order of their standing. Fans should click here to view their current standing.
Donors wishing to improve their selection position may make additional gifts to the Mean Green Athletic Fund through April 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM to increase their priority points and rank. Fans may also use the Priority Points Calculator to explore how an additional gift could impact their ranking.
To be eligible to participate in the re-seat, season tickets for the 2026 basketball season must be renewed or purchased. Accounts will be able to select up to four courtside seats and a maximum of six seats can be purchased in the floor area. For example, you can purchase four courtside seats (first row) and two additional floor seats within rows two through four. Seat selections must be made in even numbers.
Fans who do not currently have courtside seats but are interested in upgrading to the courtside area can fill out the interest form here.
Donors who have contributed to either of the NIL collectives over the past four years will receive a one-time priority point adjustment of three points for every $100 given. To receive this adjustment, donors should contact their Mean Green Athletic Fund representative to provide proof of NIL donation.
There is a plan to have an in-person viewing event of the new layout at the Super Pit at some point in the near future. More details on that event will be coming soon.
In addition, due to increased demand and in an effort to ensure fairness among our supporters, UNT athletics will also be conducting a reallocation of parking along Highland Street. This reallocation will align parking eligibility with current Mean Green Athletic Fund donor levels and priority rankings, ensuring an equitable process for all fans.
For more information regarding the reseating process, please contact the Mean Green Athletic Fund office at 940-369-7284.
Current season ticket holders should expect to hear from the UNT ticket office with more information regarding 2026-27 renewals in the near future. In addition, new 2026-27 basketball season tickets will go on sale later this spring.
