Women's Golf Concludes Round One Of American Championship

Brooksville, Florida – The UNT women's golf team completed the first round of the 2026 American Conference Championship Monday morning.

The Mean Green shot a 306 (+18) and sit in 10th place after the first round of the three-round event held at Southern Hills Golf Club. North Texas senior Malisone Chanthapanya led the way as she shot a 74 (+2) for the round and is in 17th place on the player leaderboard. Chanthapanya birdied four holes Monday.

North Texas will aim to rally Tuesday in round two before wrapping up the conference championship Wednesday.
