DENTON — The UNT track and field program is set for the SMU Invitational this weekend in Dallas, with the meet set to begin Friday and conclude Saturday.

The Mean Green are ramping up to the American Outdoor Championships, as they will have this one final meet use as a ramp up to the conference meet, which will be hosted by UNT at Norma Knobel Stadium in Denton, May 14-16.

LAST TIME OUT
The Mean Green won three events at the Michael Johnson Invitational, hosted by Baylor last weekend. Junior Aariyana Williams set two new program records in the 200 and 400, winning the 400 with the fastest time in The American this season. She earned American Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance. She was joined by teammate Anthony Ward, as the sophomore won Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors after finishing third in the long jump with a leap of 7.72 meters, which was good for third all-time in program history.
