Third Annual Green Lights Gala Scheduled for September 11

Gala to occur at the Super Pit for first time
DENTON, Texas – The third annual Green Lights Gala presented by the Dan Smith and Bob Kimmel Families, one of the most anticipated events of the year in UNT Athletics, is set for Sept. 11 at the Super Pit from 6-9 pm.
The night before the 2026 Mean Green football home opener against UNLV, UNT athletics is hosting a celebration of the North Texas community, spirit and dedication. Mean Green supporters, partners, and fans wishing to register and attend the gala can do so here.
This year's theme, "Deep in the Heart of Denton," will showcase the unique culture, traditions and community pride that make Denton and North Texas special. Guests will enjoy an evening of entertainment, fundraising opportunities and experiences designed to support UNT student-athletes.
Attendance at the 2026 Gala will be limited with a maximum of 350 guests. Tables will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
Along with a live auction at the event, a silent auction will also take place and will open on Sept. 7.
Those interested in supporting the Green Lights Gala will have the opportunity to sponsor the event.
Supporters can purchase a Green and White sponsorship for $6,000 that includes two tables (16 tickets) and will be included in both pre-promotion and marketing as well as for event day programming.
Patrons can also opt for an Eagle Sponsorship for $3,500 which includes one table (8 tickets) and inclusion in the event day programming.
Those looking to attend the event can purchase a student-athlete table (Seats 10, 8 tickets and 2 student-athlete designated seats) for $1,500, a normal table (Seats 8) for $1,000 or an individual ticket for $125.
UNT Athletics welcomes donations for the Green Lights Gala auction. All auction proceeds support UNT Athletics and its mission of Building Champions and Preparing Leaders. To donate an item, please submit it here.
