Osho Named No. 3 Ranked CFL Prospect by CFL Scouting Bureau

Senior RB from British Columbia recognized by top Canadian scouts
TORONTO – Senior UNT running back Nick Osho has been recognized as the No. 3 rated Canadian Football League (CFL) prospect in the 2027 prospect rankings revealed by the CFL Scouting Bureau Thursday.
Osho, a product of Burnaby, British Columbia, joined UNT in the offseason after spending the 2024 and 2025 season at Indiana State.
Last season at ISU, Osho produced over 700 yards of total offense and nine touchdowns in 2025 at ISU. He closed the season with 119 carries for 685 yards and nine rushing touchdowns while also catching 10 passes for 42 yards and another score.
Prior to playing for the Sycamores, Osho started his career in 2022 and 2023 at Reedley College, a junior college in California, where he totaled 593 yards rushing across nine games in 2023.
Osho is the first UNT product to be highlighted by the CFL Bureau since Jaylen Smith was ranked inside the top-20 in 2025. Much like Smith, Osho prepped at St. Thomas More in Canada prior to entering college. Smith was later drafted 15th overall in the CFL Draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers where he has seen action in over 25 games in his first two seasons in the league.
The CFL Scouting Bureau, comprising CFL scouts, as well as player personnel directors and general managers from the league's nine clubs, releases its rankings three times each year, with the cycle beginning in the fall to coincide with the opening of the collegiate season, in winter ahead of prospects' postseason, and a final ranking in the spring following CFL Combine Season.
