Men's Basketball Set for Snake River Invitational

UNT travels to Idaho for Thanksgiving weekend tournament
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho – Mean Green men's basketball will travel to the Snake River Invitational for a four-team event at the Mountain America Center on Nov. 27-29.
"We're excited to be participating in the Snake River Invitational as it's exactly the kind of event we wanted on our schedule," head coach Daniyal Robinson said. "Boise State, North Dakota State and Drake have all been to the NCAA Tournament in recent years, and playing three programs of that caliber on short turnarounds will be a real test. Going on the road to Idaho Falls and playing in an unfamiliar environment is about as close to a postseason feel as you get in November. As a team, we look forward to the opportunity."
North Texas will open the three-day tournament against North Dakota State on Nov. 27 before it meets Boise State on Nov. 28 and Drake on Nov. 29. Tip times for each game will be announced at a later date.
The Mean Green will meet North Dakota State for the first time in program history while UNT faces Boise State for its 11th meeting and Drake for its 37th all-time contest.
