Nick Wertz was hired as an assistant coach on July 1, 2026, after serving as the head men's and women's coach at Malone University.
Wertz spent four years leading the men's and women's programs at his alma mater, which is an NCAA Division II university in Canton, Ohio.Â
In his time at the helm, Wertz developed and coached athletes to more than 100 Top-10 performances and three new program records.
As a student-athlete, Wertz excelled in distance events and was a 11-time Great Midwest Athletic Conference medalist, including one gold in the 1,650 Freestyle and he's the program record holder in the 1,650 Freestyle, 1,000 Freestyle and the 100 IM.
