In his one season with the Longhorns, Joe helped Texas land the No. 8 ranked class in the nation according to 247Sports including three five-star prospects. The 2025 season also saw Texas post a 9-3 record in the regular season and earn a trip to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.
Prior to his time at Texas, Joe worked at his alma mater Georgia Tech for a total of six seasons in two separate stints. In 2023-24, Joe served as the General Manager for the Yellowjackets. Joe helped GT advance to bowl games in both seasons, including a win over UCF in the 2023 Gasparilla Bowl.

From 2018-21, Joe was a member of Georgia Tech’s football staff. He came back to Tech in 2018 as a graduate assistant, working with the Yellow Jackets’ offensive line. He held that role for three seasons before moving into recruiting as Tech’s associate director of player personnel in 2021.
As a student-athlete, Joe started 16 games over his final two seasons at Georgia Tech (2014-15). He started the final seven games of the 2014 campaign at right tackle, helping anchor an offensive front that led the nation in rushing with a school record 342.1 yards per game and allowed just 0.79 sacks per game, good for second nationally.
He returned to GT after spending the 2017 season as quality-control assistant at FIU. Following the end of his playing career, he spent the 2016-17 academic year as an English teacher at his high school alma mater, Lake Gibson H.S. in Lakeland, Fla.
Joe needed just three-and-a-half years to earn a bachelor’s degree in literature, media and communication from Georgia Tech, graduating in December 2014, and studied economics while completing his final season of athletic eligibility in 2015. He earned master’s degree in building construction and facility management from Georgia Tech in 2020.
