Miami, Fla. (Knight Sports Complex) (10/21/01) - The North Texas volleyball team (9-12, 4-5) lost in five games for the third consecutive time on Sunday afternoon falling to Miami in a non-conference match. North Texas won the first game of the match, but the Hurricanes took the next two games. The Mean Green fought back to win game four of the match but lost game five 16-14.
"When we won, we blocked very well," said North Texas head coach Cassie Headrick. "We didn’t pass the ball nearly as well as we did Friday night. This is a good team that has some good international players. They are a very solid program".
North Texas has now gone a full five games for the 11th time in 21 outings this season. North Texas is 3-8 in those matches. The Mean Green return to Sun Belt Conference action on Friday night when they host New Orleans at 7 p.m. at the Snake Pit.
