Corina Marginas Named AVCA All-Region

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (12/10/03) -- Corina Marginas, a senior outside hitter on the North Texas volleyball team, was named to the AVCA's All-South Region Team on Wednesday.
Marginas was one of two Sun Belt Conference players to be named to the All-South Region Team, which is made up of 12 players. North Texas' all-time record holder for kills, digs and service aces, Marginas was named the 2003 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year.
Marginas now has a chance to be named to the AVCA All-America Team, which includes first team, second team, third team and honorable mention selections. If Marginas is named All-America, she would be the first player in North Texas volleyball history to be awarded the honor. The team will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 17.
