COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. North Texas volleyball senior outside hitter Corina Marginas was named an Honorable Mention All-America selection Wednesday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

With the selection, Marginas becomes the North Texas volleyball program’s first ever All-America player. Marginas was one of 12 players named to the AVCA All-South Region Team last week.

North Texas’ all-time record holder for kills, digs and service aces, Marginas was named the 2003 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year.

The AVCA All-America selections are made up of a first team, second team, third team and honorable mention roster.
