Ramone Archie was originally from Los Angeles, California and played at Glendale Community College for two years before transferring to North Texas. Archie played safety at North Texas and started for two years (98-99). In 1998 he was All-Big West Second Team and All-Big West Honorable Mention in 1999.

Archie is now the defensive backs coach at Denton Ryan High School in Denton, TX. He also teaches special education. Archie has been a key part of Ryan's success as it has played in four state championship games in recent years, winning two of them in 2001 and 2002.
Archie also stays busy with his three children. Ethan Ramone is three, and the twins Tristan Antjuan and Victoria Denise are two. Archie also appeared on the Family Feud in 2000 and won $10,000.
