North Texas Men's Golf Adds Thompson

DENTON, Tex. (12/7/05) The North Texas men’s golf team has signed Dustin Thompson from Granbury,Texas to a national letter of intent in the early signing period. Thompson is a four-year letterwinner at

Thompson won the District 8-4A Championship last season as a junior and has also won the Marvin Damron Invitational and the Brazos Classic. He had a third place finish the past summer at the Starburst Invitational and finished third at the Chrysler Cup Championship.
Thompson notched a fifth place finish at the Texas State High School Classic. Thompson won the Hood County News Junior Golf competition at Hidden Oaks Golf Course. In that tournament Thompson shot 2-under-par 70 in the final round and won by eight strokes.
