Men’s Golf Rounds Out Roster with Three Additions

DENTON, Texas – The UNT men's golf program added three newcomers this spring to finalize its roster for the 2026-27 season, head coach Luke Calcatera has announced.
The spring class is comprised of transfers Arjun Singh Bhatia and Ilia Antoniadis and incoming freshman Jake Valentine. They will be joined by returners Mitchell Maier, Blake Keen, Rayhan Latief and Rafael Estrada, as well as freshmen signees Connor Bryce and Dion Regan.
Ilia Antoniadis l Jr. l Munich, Germany l Catawba College
Became one of the top Division II players in the country over the last two years at Catawba College … Played in 21 career tournaments, finishing top 10 a dozen times and top 20 in 14 different events … Named to the PING All-Region Team and All-SAC Second Team as a sophomore after compiling a 72.58 stroke average, two tournament victories and eight top-10 finishes … Shot 6-under to win the Richard Rendleman Invitational and won the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate with a 1-under 215 … Also placed third at both the Griffin Invitational and Irish Creek Intercollegiate … Concluded that season as the country's 36th-ranked Division II player … Had a 73.24 stroke average as a freshman while registering four top-10 finishes and six in the top 20 … Began his career with three straight top-10 performances … Lettered in soccer, basketball and handball at Kurt-Huber-Gymnasium in Germany … Earned a gold medal at the Bundesjugendspiele and won the 2023 German Junior Golf Tour championship in the U19 division.
Arjun Singh Bhatia l Sr. l Chandigarh, India l Long Island
Was a standout at Long Island University over the past three seasons … Named the Northeast Conference Golfer of the Year in 2025 and 2026, becoming just the third player in league history to repeat as winner of the award … Also earned First Team All-NEC honors both of those seasons … Played in 35 career tournaments with 10 top-10 finishes and 16 inside the top 20 … Won the 2026 NEC individual championship with a 5-under 208 that qualified him for the NCAA Columbus Regional … Placed 70th there while competing individually … Compiled stroke averages of 71.4 and 72.3 as a sophomore and junior, respectively … Was a top-20 placer in nine of 13 tournaments last season, including six in the top 10 … Helped the Sharks to four total team victories and three consecutive runner-up finishes at the conference tournament … Graduated from Saint Kabir Public School in 2023 … Competed in several international events like the 2022 Singapore Amateur Championship and 2023 Bangladesh Amateur Championship.
Jake Valentine l Fr. l London, England l Benjamin School
Grew up in London before moving to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., where he spent the majority of his prep career … Ranked the state of Florida's No. 5 player in the 2026 class according to the American Junior Golf Association … Tabbed the AJGA's 233rd player in the country at the time of his signing … Competed in several high-level tournaments throughout his prep career, recently finishing T5 at the 2026 AJGA Lake Charles Junior Championship and top 10 at the AJGA Junior at Old Hickory … Helped lead Benjamin School to the Florida state championship as a sophomore, shooting rounds of 72-76 and sinking the winning putt on the final hole of the tournament … Completed his senior year of high school online after playing three years at Benjamin
