Broken Arrow, OK – At Cedar Ridge Country Club, the UNT Men's Golf Team competed in its final fall tournament of the season, taking 11th in the field of 13 at The Clerico, hosted by Oral Roberts.
The Mean Green were paced by sophomore freshman Connor Bryce, who finished the outing eight over par (72-77-69-218) for a 21st place individual finish. Fellow freshman Dion Regan was right behind Bryce, posting a ten over par (75-72-73-220).
As a team, UNT was able to find footing in the final round, anchored by a strong front nine that saw 11 birdies – scores that powered Bryce and sophomore Mitchell Maier to sub-par rounds of one and two under par respectively. As a result, the program was able to shoot a collective two over par.
When the team returns to the links for the spring season in February, UNT will compete in the Compadres Collegiate tournament, hosted by UTRGV in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The competition is the first tournaments leading up to the American Conference Championships in Sarasota, Florida at the end of April.
Included in those six tournaments is the Maridoe Collegiate, hosted by UNT at Maridoe Golf Course.
